What coursebooks used to be like: part 3

ESP books have been around for a long time. English for intercultural understanding is not a new idea, either. The Young Clerk’s English Book (Leipzig and Berlin, 1934) has texts on ‘English Fog’, ‘Cotton on the Mississippi’, ‘How German Goods are Sent to England’ and ‘How to Stick Stamps on an Envelope’.
